When I got my car 4.5 yrs ago, I researched the hell outa getting more power, without doing an engine overhaul and expensive parts.
Read: http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...read.php?t=957 I got a kit (adaptor plate and K&N style filter) from eBay for $25. I mounted it to the AFM, then made a box (plastic flat pieces) around the air filter so only cold, outside the hood, air goes into it. Just putting a filter on (removing the factry airbox) will actually loose you a few hp. Hot, underhood air, is NOT what you want to suck into the engine. You might check this out..... Take your pick... http://www.suprasport.com/Intake_c_49-1-1.html
I'd suggest going to Advanced Auto Parts or Auto Zone to get a AFM adapter. |
