head gasket Prevention
I have heard that if you tighten the head bolts that it can prevent the head gasket from blowing. Is that true?? And if it is how tight do you have to go???

I don't believe it. I tried it, even though I don't believe it.
It did NOT save it. The gasket burns thru at #6 (and sometimes other cyl, too), from combustion chamber to a water passage. Some have said to back the bolt off, then retighten. Bad idea!! Just start saving $$ for the inevitable BHG, then do it right.
