Tie rod

I was doing an alignement on my car and I had a bad tie rod end on the passanger side of the car. I was wondering how hard is it to replace one, any tips on getting it out, and how much does a tie rod usally cost? My car is pulling to the right and the alingment isn't to bad, could the tie rod be causing this pull?

Pulling is usually caused by bad wheel alignment. Although, I have had a few cars over the years that pulled because of a bad tire (tread seperating, or worn too bad on one edge).

Tie rods should be in good working order (replaced?) before attempting an alignment.

Easy to replace. See page 58 & 59 .

You can get a puller(keep forever in your tool box) at any autoparts or such store.

When you get them, please ask the parts guy what brand they are. I (we all) would like to know.

The Carquest ones are made by MOOG, which is a very good American brand. If the zone ones are a good name brand, then I (we all) may just buy those when I/we need some.

Thanks for the replies, I'm doing it at school so I will have a lift and everything and I will probably aligne it when I'm done.
