Tie Rod End and Ball Joints!!
I need to replace the tie rod ends and the ball joints. Does anybody kno how much and which company makes parts for my 86.5 supra? i really need asap

try checkin the other to thread on it..buh if its outter tie rod look to sped around 20-30bucks and if inner try 50+ for ball joing is lower ur looking to spend 56 and up for upper ball joint i have no clue cuz autozone didnt have it..buh Mr.Nickleye says the toyota dealer ship only have it.,..buh try findin it somewhere else cuz dealership parts cost as much as your car

dammit that sux ass. cuase the place i took my car quoted me for the lower ball joints $162 and for the inner tie rod end for $276

dont even do it ask them how much if you supply the products..buh if they charge alot just to put it in use the TSRM and some elbow grease..if not shop around for a good reasonable shop..

You can do it.
All these parts can be changed by an average experienced mechanic. Just follow the TSRM. Universal puller can be used in place of Toyota SST.

I picked up outer tie rod ends for 27.00 the place I had do my tires showed me it was bent and wanted to charge me 376.00 just to do the outer tie rod end with no balance afterwards,,,,,kiss my grits!!! if you shop around you can get a good price and most shops charge close to triple for a part to make money

well i just changed my outter tie rod(31.38..at autozone) and took me about 20 mins..like mrnickleye said you can do it urself...it went easy and smooth besides when i smashed my nuckle on the finder pulling out the tie rod (ouch)
