The water pipes keep blowing off causing it to lose ALL the water. it drives good and temperature was at about quater but all of a sudden rocketed up and the pipe bursts. i thought it was the head gasket but it doesnt smoke, theres no creamy stuff on oil cap OR dip sticks any help will be appreciated many thanks kyle |

Sounds like "something" is overpressurizing the cooling system. Normal pressure should be around 13psi.
I would pressure test the cooling system and see if it holds 15psi, because it should with no problem. If they blow off at that pressure you need new hose clamps. If they hold fine, you probably have a blown head gasket. You should also run a block test, only way you'll know for sure if the head gasket is blown/leaking. Very easy and inexpensive. My supra didn't smoke, have "milkshake stuff" on the dipstick or oil cap, yet it still had a blown head gasket. |

Water Pipes Blowing Off
hi mate,
thanks for the reply. i had the rad taken out and had it pressure tested, they phoned me up and said that it only had 40% flow so that is 60% blocked. i think this is the cause of the pipes blowing off cheers kyle |
