Question!

my supra started acting wierd yesterday. i also noticed i had a hole in my exhaust. will that hole in my exhaust result in a loss of low end power? because my car doesnt pull at low rpm's like it used too. can someone please help me out.

try pluging or patching up the hole if it runs fine then replace the exhaust

Yes that hole in your exhaust could result in a loss of power.

It depends on some things. N/A car, I assume. Is the hole big? Where exactly is the hole?? Before the cat?? After the cat??

A plugged exhaust, muffler, or cat is more likely to cause your power loss, than a hole.

Will the car rev up to 4-5k and hold for a few seconds in park???

Does it cut out and misfire???

mine does the same exact thing i have no low end power. but of course my downpipe isnt bolted all the way to the elbow or the cat. could this be his problem and mine too? let me know

craigsupra87 03-08-2007 06:16 PM

the car revs up fine in neutral, its just in low rpms that it boggs and feels hard. when i floor it in 2nd or 3rd there is no power. i've been told to replace the cat but idk. so if anyone is seeling a cat. conv. for a 87 supra non turbo i need it. or a radiator also, mine leaks. thanks guys. ill keep you posted with whats up. but heres a list of parts i need if anyone can help me.

-Cat and back
-Radiator
-100amp alt fuse
-Front pass. fender

If you think the cat may be plugged up, which causes too much back pressure, you could unbolt it and try driving the car to see if your power comes back.
