Default monitor on dash ?

Im in need of a quick opinion from all my fellow supra owners.....
I have a spare monitor just sitting around and my 10 year old daughter was wondering if I could place the screen on the supra, the problem is that I know this is a sportscar and also that there is not many places where I can place a screen...... so far ""see pictures"" the only place I could remotely find is in the glove compartment (not my favorite) and on the dash in front of the ac controller.. a/c doesn't concern me much because it's inoperable, second ,the boost gauge will be replaced by a aftermarket pillar mounted unit.

the major thing is........do you guys aprove of such a thing...I mean..is it ok to put this thing on a supra?
if its aproved by ya'll it will be used mainly with a ps2..... I've seen posts on other supra sites where people use a touch screen running a PC....
sad to say I dont wana invest $2000 dollars on such a system, since I have these parts just laying around collecting dust...

thanks a lot guys and hope to get some feedback from you.....

As a muscle car owner I have often heard the debate about what's "ok to do to a car" and what isn't. I can't stand people that clone cars for the sake of resale ,but anything you do to a car for your own personal pleasure I say go for it!

What kinda power do you need for the screen? Does it have audio capabilities or will that be a seperate device? I think it's a pretty cool idea ,but I'm a nerd and my friends and I are always talking about adding tech to our cars

When I used to do a lot of waiting inside my car, I ddnt mind putting a screen inside
I bought a 7 inch from gamestop for 80 bucks that was meant for a ps2
I mounted it at the ashtray with the mounts that came with the tv and hookd it up with a ps2
Kept my little sister busy when she's in the car
And I had sumthing to do instead of jus sitting there
But I made sure everything can be taken out easily in case I have a race to do

Default Great Idea

Why stop at putting subs and a system, sure that's an amazing thing to have blasting while driving down the street, but it's even cooler when your buds are playing grand theft auto or madden 2007 on a PS2. Go for it you have the custom gauges and all the interior stuff a PS2 is a great idea. Supra 2NR has a great idea with the $80 screen too

Aww man tough luck. Haha I had a Cadi before my supra, Seville 1996 SLS.

But hey if you wanna hear the engine it's your call, I honestly think you'd attract more people with the subs and crap, and then scare the hell out of anyone when you rev it up =p

Good luck man, keep us posted

Hey sorry I cant help you with your question, I think the way you have it placed in the center console is fine unless theres some way you can manufacture it into a flip down from the ceiling.

Anyways I just wanted to ask about your guage cluster. You have the white faces, I bought the white face kit, but im afraid to do it myself, I heard you should have it done professionally, but fear it will cost too much. Did you install yours yourself? If so was it hard? Id like to get it put in this spring which is why im asking. Thanks!
