2JZ in a MKIII. is it possible?
I was wondering if it is possible to put a 2JZGTTE in a MKIII supra.
|
Yes. requires modification of the firewall, motor mounts as well I think, and I believe you have to take it down to 1 turbo.
|
Well its always possible, the only thing that will matter is how much money you have
And a heads-up too Its 2jzgte , jus a single t B4 sumbody makes a big deal out of it |
Wait so it's only possible to single turbo it if you put the Mk4 engine in.?
How come a twin turbo 2JZ isn't possible in the MK3? Or am I reading this wrong? |
Its possible to put a twin turbo 2jz motor in an mk3 but you have to bang the firewall to fit the secong turbo in
But as everybody knows single is the way to go So might as well convert it while the engine is still out |
But a single turbo on that engine won't be as strong or fast as a twin turbo... yes/no?

Do you really have the money to do this swap???????? |
no offense, but if you have to ask then you prolly arent up to the swap.
but to answer your question, yes its possible to but a 2jz in a mk3 supra with the twins, but most 2jz owners end up going to a bigger, single turbo setup. google it, im sure there are more than a handful of mk3s with a 2jz stuffed under the hood |
this was the first place i went to to get this information. i had not really researched it before, and if i do decide to go with the 2jz swap, then id go through a very thorough researching before i do it.
anyway, thanks for at least letting my know that it was just possible. |
