Hey everyone today I ran thru a deep puddle and it seems that my intake sucked up some water. As soon as i hit the puddle the car died out and wouldnt start for about 5 min. After finnally starting the car hessiates to go up in rpms. I took off the whole intake and dryed it out. Did I cause any serious damage or will ot dry out and be ok.

if you feel the intake sucked in water, the puddle may have been tooo deep. if it started afterwards consider yourself lucky. ususally water will lock up a block after it enters. it sounds like water grounded out an electrical signal on the car.

i would say that you have gotten water in your dizzy or electrical connectors.... how does it idle?
when you first tried cranking it did it... crank stop... sorta like a flat battery or did it just fire nicely, by which i mean did it fire easily or crank stop crank stop
