n/a cams in a turbo 7m
i was going to pick up a set of n/a cams for my gte. will my aem adjustable cam gears fit the stock na cams. i only have 1 stock gear off my car, will that fit?
|
I wouldn't think it wise to mix and match cam gears but to answer the first question..., yes they should fit. If there is any change to the gte cam it will be inside. I wouldn't put ge cams in a gte engine either. I am quite sure they lope differently.
I would put some thinking and research into this plan as to make sure I didn't mess something up. No gains to be had using the smaller cams, they'll work untill you set off a sensor somewhere, vapor lock for lack of a better term. |
the na intake cam in different then the turbo intake cam; na has more duration. the exhaust cams are the same. as for the oringinal question, they should work
|
They will absolutely work. The exhaust cam is the same but the intake cam is different. You should get a better low end response from putting them in.
|
I was thinking that the smaller cam wouldn't open things up efficiently.
I guess I'm wrong. |
