I know and agree with the 2.5. But for what he wants a 3 inch from the header would get him more close. Just an opinion. No disrespect intended.

I don't wanna start passing out judgement on pple but it might come down to it
Cuz there's a name for pple that put 3 inch exhaust on a non turbo car And I will leave it at that |
LOL..., That's why mine is stock.

thanks... ive been researching it and i went to youtube and listened to some and most sound like crap then theres this one that sounded really good... but ya i know its wierd that im going for sound but i have always wanted sports cars and ive had a couple rx7's that i played with and now i have a supra that i like alot... i found out its got a turbo exhaust on it now and its alright but i want the deep sound like tuner sound and power im gonna put 2.5 on it soon as i get money again... just spent 800 on timing belt and power steering leak so...
i think i got a pretty good deal, its got 120k original miles its an 87 na 3500 sound good to you? anyway thanks for the input guys |
$3500 seems high, have pics?

I paid 1400 for my 87 N/A 5sd with 130k on it body was real straight and only had a few minor problems. I fixed most of them with mods like my super dragger which I havent had really any problem with back pressure but I also planned on upgrading to a 1JZ. But on the N/A motor that super dragger sounds good and it freed it up a bit on the road.

I paid 2000 for my first supra
88 na cleaaaaaan body |
$800 for a timing belt and "power steering leak"? Wow, unless they replaced the power steering pump with a brand new one, you got hosed. Timing belt is $38 from the dealer, tensioner is $136, and tensioner spring is $6. And I can bet they just replaced the belt. Thats $180 in parts and with my discount I paid $120.
$3500 for an 87 non-turbo with 120K miles? I paid $2500 for an 87 turbo with 120K miles and an ultra straight clean body. You do the math. You should be saving up for a new head gasket first, then worry about the exhaust. Just my opinion. |
