basic help
ok so i'm taking a shot in the dark and guessing that you have checked your starter already.. if this is the case make sure the wires on the body of it are hooked up ther is a small pigtail that can come loose easy on the mk3's mine came loose when i raced a probe gt (pile) i still won w/ my car stalled halfway down the road.(anyways) the next step is i need more info. does it turn over or does it just click? does it feel like it needs fuel? you said you just got it running how long was it sitting? what was wrong. what did you do to fix it... All of this is pertanent to the conclusion... Ps i really can't spell...lol

I bought it around 1yr ago and the guy said the clutch was out. My friend came over and looked at it and it didnt even have a drive shaft in it. HAHAHA!!!! Picked one up, put it in and away we went!!! Drove it for about 2hrs and then ate supper. Went to take it back out and nothing. It wont even click, like there is no power going to the starter. Also the boost gauge is not working. Can anybody help me?

My ride was doing the exact same thing your'e describing.
Then the hg blew. So I would check those nuts and try to torque them down and maybe prolong it's life but I bet your about to lose a head gasket. I messed with it for days trying to figure it out then on a test drive....., POP. I blew the wads out of 6. The head gasket coppers were all kinked up. Not good. I was a block from home and had I not had a can of eather or starting fluid. I would have never made it home and I had someone spraying fluid into the air intake so I could get it in the garage where I quickley went to work tearing it apart. Good Luck.. |
