Stand alone on a 1jz swap

Knowing Ill probably take some heat from some unfreindly toyota guys, Is it possable to install a complete stand alone ECU and harness to a 1jz I have installed in an 89 supra? Which would be best bang for the buck. I can not remedy intermittent running and Im getting frustrated.http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...cons/icon8.gif
