Boost Issues
Wassup everyone! I seem to be having some issues with my boost. I shimmed the wastegate on Sunday and the boost didn't go up to 10lbs. I shimmed it about .25 inches. But the boost response was better. Then the next day, trying to get out of some traffic, it shot up to 10lbs. Then later that day it struggled to go to 10 lbs. Later that night I ran out 2nd gear and it got to 9lbs and went up and down to 7lbs. Then 2 minutes later, I ran it out again and it went all the way to 10lbs and held and then through third it held. Today I checked for vacuum leaks and found nothing. However, there was some shaftplay in the turbo from side to side, none in and out. Maybe a couple of sixteenths. Do you think that might be it? And will my head gasket hold up to 10 lbs?
