Exhaust smell
 

I just installed a boost gauge and tapped the vacuum off of the port on the intake manifold going to the power steering pump (mine doesn't work). Now my wastegate sounds a little funny, and I sometimes get an exhaust smell in the car while I'm driving. But only for a split second. I think around the time the wastegate does it's job. Could where I tapped from be causing issues?
