Umm I think bcraig is talking about the cat. The resonator is way back near the diff. The cat is directly under the passenger seat. If your exhaust is getting that hot, you are definately running lean. Cats don't just "shatter like glass" under normal operating conditions.
There is no such thing as a downpipe for a non-turbo car. Sounds like you got a real toilet car there. |

Thats why I like where I live, I live on the border accross from mexico. Over in Mexico I can get a whole exhuast done for about $80 with the muffler intallation included.

Food for thought.
Would you go to mexico to have your teeth worked on because it is cheaper?? I wouldn't, nor would I let them work on my car. Now if you want cuban cigars, pussy, lobster or fire crackers......, mexico is the ticket. lol. |

I didn't mean any disrespect.
I'm sorry if you took it that way. I have had a few glass packs in my day. I have never had to put but one on any of the autos I have owned. They "for me" have always been right at the $50 mark. Is the glass pack muffler something more than a cylindrical tube? |
