Check Engine Light
I just did a complete engine rebuild (HG issue...replaced finally with metal!)
We put the motor back in the car and tried to start. It turns over but won't crank. With the battery connected and the key NOT even in the ignition....the check engine light is on!! Any ideas???????? |

Do a diagnostic, look for the post in the FAQ's section.

It cranks/turns over but will not start......we have fuel, air but no spark. We thought it was the igniter(ohm it all out as per TSRM and all signs pointed to it) changed it and still have no spark. I have read and searched all over the forums and can't find anybody who has had the CEL on without the key even in the ignition!! We will do a diagnostic and let you guys know....thanks!!!
