cut springs and tems

so i was just wondering if you where to cut the spings by maby a coil, would the tems unit go all wacky on you like keep going from sport to super sport or whatever the 3rd stage is all the time. or would just keep working like normal?

No it won't mess up the tems, but cutting your springs is a horrible idea. Lowering springs only cost $200....

I would also get some lowering springs because I know some one who cut their springs on their car about 2 inches and the car was very very hard and super bouncy. if you get some lowering springs then you wont have that problem.

Screw that TEMS, that shits junk. It's 20 years old. I'd get a set of coilovers, thats what I'm planning to buy next.

i wasnt talking like 2 coils just 1, thats maby an 1inch if that. so just a little lower, and i dont have 200$ right now :)

Why even be concernd with the tems
It will be rendered useless ,
Since it will not be strong enuff to dampen the springs that well
And even if it does still work, if the tems is hardly noticable with the normal bounciness of the stock springs, what do u think is gonna happen, with sum (sorry to say it) half-assed lowering springs

Cuz ur ride will be super bouncy

If your gonna lower ur ride,
Do it right, do it once

supramacist 06-06-2007 06:13 PM

Sorry but I agree.

Not having the cheese to get the right equipment doesn't mean to go ahead and bastardize your ride.

Do it right. Just wait till ya have the money man.
Don't do something you're going to regret and then still end up spending the money. You're not thinking straight, if you're really even thinking at all here.
