my advice, since i live in jersey also, would be get a beater car, and drive the supra around only on smooth roads. I mean there are suspension systems you can get, but i'm pretty sure they aren't pothole proof.

Check around on the internet for some "progressive" struts (the shock absorber part of the system). They will give a softer ride normally, but stiffen as the bumps get worse. There is all kinds of info on them. Monroe makes some, Gabriel too.

having T.E.M.S. makes a difference on what suspension you buy . you are not likely to get a "monroe" installed on a TEMS system with out modifications . i was lured in by the cost of the monroe but when it came to it i took them back and got stock ones
i think the monroe are around 45 each and stock was something like 200 each

Oh....TEMS....I have TEMS...fortunately they all work fine. I'm not sure you can find any 'after-market' replacement. Aren't they a 'dealer only' if you are gonna keep the computer adjustables ???
I'd like to know, in case I blow a shock.
