can someone
hey i was wondering if my cam posistion sensor is on its right
so if some one can plz post a picture of how thier CPS is posistion and looks like on their engine that would be greatly appriciated |
It will only mount one way. If you're asking for a visual to use to compare timing adjustment, sorry, won't work. Buy or borrow a timing light and check the TSRM for details on how to use it.

You can do it, you just have to have the engine at TDC. The crank notch must be at 0 and the cam marks must line up with the notches.
Here is where your CPS should be with the no.1 piston at TDC and the base ignition timing set to 10 degrees BTDC. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f2...e/DSC00531.jpg If you have the no.1 piston at TDC and you line the CPS up like this it should get you within 1 degree of what your ignition timing should be. Use a timing light to dial the timing in perfectly. Its really not hard, just takes some basic knowledge. |
i check my timing and its exactly at 10degree but the cam gear was all the way back and the car didnt want to start and it felt slow even when the turbo kickd in. but now i move the CPS to the position u had it on "hack" and the car sounds mean and is fasst now buh i didnt get to check the timing on it yet since i moved it around thanx man ur picture really helpd
