noise coming from rear of car?

so when im driving, i hear this constant hum coming from the rear of the car, it gets louder and higher pitched when i go faster, and it sorta sputters when im engaging the gas pedal. the guy i bought it from said he thought it was a wheel bearing. is that the case?

yeah i had a chevy van that did that (lol), and yeah it was a wheel bearing. that sound is so annoying man.
pretty sure its a wheel bearing if were talking about the same sound.
