pull the lock mechanism out of your passenger side door and on the lock barrel where the key goes in the will be a code. take that to the toyota dealership and give it to them and they will make you a authentic toyota key. Cost me like no more than 5 bucks. You have to get them specific for the alarm switch in the drivers side door.

so will it work for the drivers side door? or are the passenger lock and ignition barrel used to make it specific?

That code on the lock barrel on the passenger side door is your key code that all of your locks and ignition use on the car so yeah it will work.

hey well, if you would, when you go in to your toyota dealership, could you tell me how much its gonna be?

I'd be willing to ship the code as, im pretty sure no one in their right mind is gonna fly to japan, find my car, and attempt to steal it?
yeah just let me know if your down through a PM or something.

thanks
