Since I've repaired this hose things seem ok. Could a split in this hose have been causing my problems?

Yep thats the throttle body hose. I took mine off along with the ISC valve hose. I figure that with the want for cold air going in the intake then why have hot water warming up the throttle body? By doing that it smoothed out the idle some.

Yes, that puzzled me as well. Why should all the super hot coolant be flowing right in with the air intake?
Never mind though. I seem to have fixed the problem now so I'm not going to fiddle with it again Quote:
