Let me rephrase. What is wrong with your engine?

I don't know how your gonna do this without dropping a sum of bread in the build

Unless u get lucky and a friend of yours sells you a complete running gte engine from a rear-ended car, for 7-8 hundred bucks(maybe cheaper, hope it is)

If you doing the work urself it will be all worthit, and cheaper

Thanks for the replies guys.

The car has sat for almost 2 years now. When I last drove it, I was simply cruising on the highway @ ~70mph and the car just died on me. Had it towed to a local mechanic and he "claimed" a piston was shattered. Now, I have no first-hand knowledge that this is what happened, like i said the car has sat for a long time now. I should really peek into the plug holes and see whats up. I live in Nashville and the car is in Atlanta so the next chance I have is this coming weekend. Ive got the time and experience to do the work myself, just trying to find the best way to get a decent running engine in there. JDM's are sketchy buys huh? Is this always true? I suppose looking into the block is the first thing I should do, however, if its simply a BHG I would be very happy.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Will find out this Saturday exactly what is wrong with it. I am going to take some time and tear into it a bit. I do have someone willing to sell me an entire longblock minus turbo that is in good running condition. This is a reputable source. What might one expect to pay for this? He asked me to make an offer.

Thanks

The car just quit while doing 70mph on the highway and a mechanic told you that you shattered a piston?

Check to see that your timing belt didn't snap. Easiest thing to do, take off the oil filler cap and watch the cam while a friend cranks the motor. If it doesn't move, the belt snapped.
