Default Supra problems

I'd put my money on the aluminum threads for the exhaust manifold studs being stripped. The oil could be coming from the CPS O-ring, it likes to leak on the exhaust manifold causing it to smoke from the "turbo area". Keep looking you'll find a nice one for $5000. Thats about how much mines worth right now.
First of all thanks for responding, it is really appreciated.

Here in Canada (especially in Quebec) the price of imported cars is very high. If you'd buy a 92 Supra that is in mint condition, you could pay EASILY up to 7000-9000$CA. So considering the condition, price of the car and the fact that I get rid of my piece of s*** 626, I think it is a good deal. But still I agree that the problems that there is on the car could be a pain in the ass for me.

BUT I made a deal with the sellman: since it still needs to pass the safety check, he would pay anything that is needed to pass that test. I still need to find out if here in Quebec leaking oil is against that test but I am 90% sure that yes it is. Same for the air leak. The other deal I made with him is that anything that is 100$ and over of cost of reparations he would pay it or just take the price down.

I would still like to hear your opinion about that.

Thank you again.

The smoke in the engine is probably from the Cam cover gaskets leaking oil. Its very common with 1jz's.

Let's hope you have a stand up dealer.

He could band aid it and it hold it long enough to get you through the inspection.

If you're looking at the car for what it could be instead of what it really is.
You could possibley be making a mistake.

Sjop around. When you find the right car and have to work on it. You'll be glad you shopped because only then will you truely realize the gravity of the situation.

Research this stuff, don't get all turbo drunk on us.
