HKS turbo timer install
I have a 87 supra turbo and I bought a new HKS turbo timer type 1. I'm having trouble with not getting a correct reading on the timer with the mph on it and the engine rpm. Is the CPS a 12volt analog signal?

Thanks 88Tsupra, I did as what you said and now my rpm works, off a bit but good enough, my speed is off though on the timer. I'm going like 10mph and the timer thinks I'm going 40mph. Does the speedo need to be set like the rpm?

It looks like I have to calibrate my mph also on the timer at 30mph then push the button.

you shouldnt have to you should check to see if your speedo cable is connected right make sure its climpd on tight and to the right wire..it shouldnt be off by 20mph just double check and tell me how it goes which wire color did u clamp it on if you are having trouble still i can take a look at mines and see if its the same wire as yours

My speedo is ok. I did have to calibrate both rpm and mph. Now it works perfect.

Now whenever I drive my car and I do a hard shift where the car will jerk a little, the timer will beep like it lost power to the timer but then all of a sudden, it has power again. I do have a harness for the timer insalled already so think it might be the ignition switch because sometimes I'll turn the key to start and nothing happens, I have to cycle it a couple of times and then it will start. What do you guys think?
