loud turbo
ok so i have finally got my car up and running again, it tends to like to eat spark plugs but a little bit of NGK iridiums and 8mm MSD wires helps a little also. DON'T GET BOSCH PLUGS THEY SUCK MY NUTS!!! :P but back to the subject.
i just got my full 3 inch exhaust piping done, custom 2.5inch IC pipes and new greddy BOV. car is running good. but i can really hear my turbo. i mean it sounds like my claimant control is on its so loud and thats with the windows up. its seriously loud at 5lbs of boost, and thats also where my A/F ratio reads really rich. at about 7-8lbs of boost it hits fuel cut, BTW my wast gate is shimmed so im getting 11-12 lbs of boost "4 washers". i wanna say it sounds like a boost leak but i cant see anything wrong at all. and also on the IC pipe closest to the intercooler it has oil in it, is that ok? i was told a turbo seal is going out or is out. there is also oil in the accordion hose but not alot. im only throwing 1 code and that is 34 "abnormal turbo pressure, i want to say that was being thrown because the IC pipes kept blowing apart but that is fixed now. i also was thinking it may just be the BOV. so what you all think it may be

well i looked a little closer, and one of the IC pipe couplers had a tiny hole in it, i dont know if that was the problem yet but ill find out on the way to work today if it is home depot here i come. i found that the rubber couplers they got down there at home depot for toilets work great. and there only like 1.25

well that wasnt the problem. the best way i can describe it is it sounds like when the turbo kicks on the bov starts to open, cause i have noticed that i can barley hear the bov anymore. that or the IC pipes do have leaks and i just dont see or hear them, at idle the bov is closed. but i have noticed a hiss sound from under the car near the oil pan, i have heard this sound for a while even in the past but the car had worked fine with this noise in the past. any other ideas?

Do you have another bov you could throw on to see if that fixes it beecause it sounds like it is leaking. The other sound is probably an exhaust leak

They go to home depot for ur car
There's a reason why they called it the home depot, Spend a little extra for reliable parts And to check ur bov if its leaking Blow to the intake pipe side of the bov If u can blow thru it, that means its already busted

oh believe me the rubber hose coupler from home depot worked awesome, its just that pipe had blown apart so many times and i have had to keep loosening and tightening the band clamps, then i upgraded to a T-bolt spring loaded clamp, but yea i have just tightend things so many times its torn a hole, and that little hole because a bigger hole from the coupler expanding.
