Hypothetical question

Ok guys with all the stuff I put into my car I was wondering how much it would be worth. I havent done much to it but in aspect it has a lot of new parts the body is straight just needs paint other than that also have a completly redone interior changed to black and grey from the maroon. Not selling it but if I had to how much should I ask.

Probly around the 5000 - 6000 range

supradaddy0803 07-25-2007 11:13 PM

Crappy part is that is about how much I have invested with car purchase and all.

The sad thing is the KBB.

People don't know. They read the kbb and forget any mods done to it.
Your car is only worth as much as the guy with the cash is willing to part with.

The money spent on labor doesn't get taken in consideration either which is usually more than parts spent.

These cars are 3000 dollar cars in fair condition.

That's all they are ever going to be worth. Mods don't matter.
My supra is worth alot more to me than what it books at and if you guys feel the same.

Just keep it. Don't be one of these hosers selling your whip for 12k.
It's not going to happen unless the moon is full and the planets are lined only as they do once every 100 years or some shit, lol.

Only opinions. There's a reason they are free.

as with most imports and older cars, you will never... lemme repeat that... NEVER get what you put into them. you can have a fully built car, and you wont get what you think you should get.

around here, for a decent mk3 you could prolly get 3-4k, thats a good body, good running engine, and good interior, and thats if your lucky.

back to the question: id say around 5k for it... be lucky to break even

Well I have done all the work myself and I am ASE certified so take that for whats its worth. I have a total of 5300 invested but like I said I am not going to sell just wondering a consesus of what it would be worth to someone else. I mean there arent many out there with the 1JZ mod already done. But also most people dont know what it is till you show them. Well anyways I am going to the track this weekend still havent really took it down the 1/4 mile to see what I can get in it. I am still not used to the good point for a take off but I am sure I will work it out. I will upload video of the people I take down. My car looks like a beater cause of the body work need so they will underestimate.

dont get me wrong

yes, like the other guy said, my car is worth more to me than any person would value it

i got a built motor and lots of mods bascially everything that needs to be done to a full-race car, except the chassis lightening

but pple only offer about 5000 for it, thats why i would never sell my car

but i know a guy that did everything right to his mk3
2jz swap, single turbo conversion,
very clean car that was sold for 18,000
thats a good example of how mods affect the car's price

but never expect that you will get the money that you invested with modding your car
