Has anyone built a Intercooler?
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has built a custom intercooler before? Thanks all!

you mean pipes or the whole intercooler?
its not hard, you jus gotta find a core and the end tanks are simply measure-cut-fold-weld we made a water-air intercooler, about the size of an average dvd player that was rated up to 50 psi

Yea I was talking about building a entire intercooler, I was thinking of incorperating the cold side of the ac system in the design to keep the air around the intercooler cool and I was just wondering if any one here built one, I was also wondering what the inside of the built one was like. Thanks for the info.
As for building and not buying, I just got a bunch of turbo stuff for my Supra for $130 and I would rather try building it since I'm making my NA a NA-T, so a lot of stuff is custom anyway. Thanks. |

instead of a website telling you how much, and for the na-t conversion, wouldnt be easier to jus get a turbo engine

going na->t the only thing you need to change in the is the pistons, everything else is pretty much the same. even if he buys the turbo engine, most the stuff he needs he still needs to get: dp, ic, ic pipe, turbo ecu or a/f controller, and afm.

cry-o
The HPs gained from the A/C cold (evaporator) will be lost to the A/C compressor HP load.
If it worked, there would be "kits" for sale all over the internet. DEI CryO2 Intake System http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/home.php?cat=993 http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/produ...productid=7838
