Distributor
 

Howdy, i connected the Ei1 and te1 ports in the diagnostic port or which ever ones this forum had told me to and low and behold the light on the dash started blinking for me. It said my distributor is bad, and i am now very confused lol. SO far i have only assertained only that the 7MGTE has an electronic distributor, a few sites even said it didnt have one (wikki for example).

Can someone clear this up for me?

Anyone know of a site where someone goes over replacing your 7MGTE distributor?

SO i just found out the 7MGTE uses a unique DLI system, though i still dont understand it very well, I also noticed someone on the forum with a similar problem to mine and someone said to replace his igniter, Anyone else think the igniter could be relevent and have some info about it?

(The problem being that the car has massive powerloss in the drive gear, while still significant power in the 1,2,R gears. and no the exhaust is not blocked :-) The problem started after cleaning the engine bay, i thouhgt i had been carefull but obviously not carefull enough.)
