Smile How does a oil catch can work?

I searched but it only tells me what it does and not how it actually works. And also what happens to the oil when its stored in the can? Thanks.

At least tell what happens to oil when it stores in the catch can. Does it have to be cleaned out or something??

Thanks, but i already knew that info from the link. That still dosent answer my question, what happens to the oil that gets stored in the tank.
