Oil Pan Leaking!
I finished my turbo swap about three months ago and so far everything is great. However, my oil pan is leaking out the front end. I have taken it off and tried to re do it three times. The next will be the forth. The first and second times I used fel-pro gaskets and copper rtv hi-temp silicone. The last time (after consulting the toyota dealer) I used the black toyota fipg. Still no luck is there some trick I should be doing? HELP please!! This leak is driving me crazy, not to metion gumming up my once clean undercarriage.
Thanks |

Did you check to see if the flange was flat like it is supposed to be. A little bent spot will cause it to leak like crazy no matter how much you try to seal it. The reason is when you tighten it down it will pull away from the RTV and leak. Also I would check to make sure there isnt a crack somewhere. Because if you filling it with a ton of RTV and it is still leaking that seems to be a big flag to me.

you might want to make sure it's really the oil pan leaking
and not the cam seals leaking down the front and looking like it's the oil pan leaking like the master charge commercial toyota supra manual $100.00 toyota supra parts $125.00 toyota supra experience priceless

I agree, its either a warped sealing surface on the oil pan or the front main seal is leaking which is behind the timing belt crank sprocket and is not fun to replace.
