a ct26 turbo,
if ur only planning to boost 6-8 psi u might as well keep the stock turbo
rather than getting another one, then u will need a new manifold, new downpipe
maybe an external wastegate depending what turbo u get

at 6-8 psi the ct26 should be good enuff
i was boosting my ct26 at 12lbs b4

6-8 psi is the same power, no matter what turbo you have

you can have a 16g turbo from an eclipse, or those pendant turbos that comes with the 3000gt, or a gt55r turbo from garrett, a t71 from precision,
or those gigantic turbos that sound performance uses

6-8 psi is 6-8 psi no matter what turbo u got,
now what your looking for is a turbo that spools faster,
now there are more cheaper, and more beneficial ways to do that

rather than changing your whole turbo set-up just to achieve to same boost
you can,
change the accordian hose to an aluminum one,
use all 2.5" intercooler hardpipes, all covered in heatshield,
use a 3" downpipe, catalytic converter/test pipe, and all the way to the muffler
use a bigger intercooler

now i say this, bcuz rather than buying a smaller turbo, manifold and everything that i meantioned earlier, jus to get a faster spooling turbo
which will probly spool at around 1000-1500 rpm
what happens after its not good enuff anymore, your gonna pay extra for what you should have did already,
all the mentioned mods^
all can be used with the ct26 turbo, and other turbo in case you wanna change, its jus a matter of using a diffrent silicone rubber couplers,

from my experince, when my car was still using the stock setup
i jus used a k&n filter, 3" exhaust, and all hardpipes
and my ct26 spooled at 2k,

so jus use the ct26, youll be suprised, on what you can achieve with that turbo

8psi on a stock turbo is not the same as 8psi on a larger turbo. Its not all about pressure, volume...

I thought a bigger turbo sucked in more air or volume of air, if the turbo uses a bigger wheel or turbine, fan or what ever you want to call it i thought a bigger turbo would give me more power do to sucking in more air, if that isnt the cause then why would they make a turbo upgrade,

Nr2 you need to empty your private msgs cause i cant send you anymore msgs.

Im not sure about the ct-26 on the supra but I know on the ct-26 on the mr2 it can boost up to 17 psi, but you definetly dont want to take the stock turbo past that, now would that apply to the supra ct-26? and about which one supplies more power, voloume is the key, so the size of a turbo and the trim all has different effects on the power, so go I would suggest a good combination of a big turbo and a trim size so you dont have to spool that thing for an hour lol.

going with the volume thing you also want decent sized IC pipes and good intake manifold. those things with a correct size turbo for your application will help you get the volume of air you want. Its nice to see people that actually know its not all about the PSI your turbo is pushing but the volume of air your getting
