Default Rear Hatch

Is it supposed to rise on its own or just stay open?

the gas struts are supposed to stay open but its common for them to give out on you.

ive been thinkin the same thing, when i took my wing off it seem to rise on its own just a tad, do fresh struts rise on their own? if so imma scoop up a pair, thing is pretty heavy, it can probably lift up a carbon fiber hatch on its own

I replaced my gas struts for my hatch during the summer. Doing so helps to raise the hatch on its own after you lift it up about a foot. And I have a stock wing on my hatch as well. Eventually if you don't change it out you will have to start using a broomstick.
