about valves
umm is it alright for the valves in my 1987 toyota supra to be making a ticking sound cause i brought it into toyota to work on the valves but was told after we reasemmbled it that thw ticking fines if it does not fluctuate while on a vacumm tested and the needle stayed precisely in one place the whole time no fluctuation and the mechanic said it was pefrectly fine is he right?
ALSO one day my car made a osund that sounded like rod knock so i turned off my car and turned it back on and it was still there so i turned it off once again and after i turned it back on it went away do you kno what that might have been but it has nto come back since and its been like a month now |

Welp, the ticking is probably alright and will eventually plain out and less'n when they seat properly.
When did the car make the knock noise? Rod Knock doesn't really go away but may be rpm specific. Piston slap maybe but probably more like lifter slap. Hard to say with only 2 lines to go from. |
