about clutch

when i come to a stop in my car and put it in neutral and let off the clutch i can hear a quiet sound that sounds like grinding but when i push my clutch back in it goes away what can that be?

You're going to become infamous for not enough information when requesting prognosis.

When you engage the pedal where does it start? Halfway through? All the way up?

And what the heck is a quiet grinding.

My first thought is the throwout bearing.
