Replacing struts on a MK3 is far from a puzzle, its actually one of the easiest vehicles to lower, if you don't believe me go try lowering an 80's chevy.
All you need is a 19mm socket, 19mm wrench and a big fuckin breaker bar at least 2 feet long. In the front you need to unbolt the upper control arm by taking that long ass bolt out. Have fun extracting it, as the whole wheel well is built around that bolt. The rears are very simple, just unbolt the strut and wrestle with it for a while, should not take you more than 1 hour for the rears and maybe 3 hours for the fronts. |
