im looking to buy a car. I found this 1987 supra turbo. leather, 5spd, 86,000 miles. prefect condition. not a spec of rust and not a chip out of the paint. the guy is asking $8000 which im sure is rediculous. the blue book is $3000 but im sure thats low as well. what would be a reasonable price for this car?

$8000 is really not unreasonable if the car is in as good of conditon as your say. there were just a little over 1400 supras made in the us in 87. its a rare car and will pay a lot for one in mint condtiton ive seen 87 supra turbos with more miles and slight body imperfections and get at least $10000 for them

yea targa top. i think the TEMS came standard with the turbo. not sure if everything works, but the interior sure looks like it works. and were talkin about milwaukee wisconsin here. this is the first 87 supra iv actually looked at buying and checked out in real life, however i have been looking for one on the internet and whatnot for quite some time.

Here in the Mojave Desert, Calif (100 miles north of L.A) there is a nice '92 mkiii turbo on a lot for $5900. I stopped to check it out last week. It ran great, and looked great with a recent pwhite paint job. Every thing worked, but the leather seats were worn and torn. I would have the interior done in cloth, as it is cheaper and not hot in the summer-cold in the winter.

If I go get it, I'm gonna offer him $4500.

So...there aren't that many around here, but I seem to notice one I have'nt seen about every couple of weeks. Most are treated as 'just another used car'. They are all 'stock' looking. I can tell by the drivers (mostly Mexican women) that they don't know that a supra is a 'prince among cars', and can be made to scream....

And I NEVER see any mk4's here.
