ring wear on walls
i have a jasper remanufactured block, its got 5k miles on it. the hg blew a while ago and its been sitting ever since. i pulled the head and saw ring wear on the walls. no actual groves, but wear marks. i work in a high precision machine shop, all the big engine builders here are telling me to hone the bore and just get new rings.anyone else disagree? also if anyones interested, im going to be machining my own billet forged 6061 t651 aluminum pistons. modeled after JE. balpark 400$ area.
