Coolant near sparkplug area
 

At first i thought it was from hosing the engine clean, so i dried it out with some cloth and letting the engine warm up and removing the wires to let the rest evaporate.

Then this morning i drove the car for 15 minutes , at first it did fine but then after a while it started holding back and running badly.
I parked the car in the driveway, checked the sparkplug area and again a bunch of coolant was all over the place.

Is this a known issue with headgasket gone (i would think no because it's a lot lower than that area) or is this a cracked head that's giving me trouble?

What engine do you have?

Ge? perhaps the coolant hoses to/at the throttlebody are leaking. Even the throttlebody leaking?

Possible heater hose leak at the back of the head. Or its that fitting or its gaskets.

This is from IHATEHACKS.....Those 3 14mm allen head bolts right next to each set of spark plugs (1 0 1- 1 0 1- 1 0 1, 1= spark plug 0= 14mm allen head inbetween the plugs) hold coolant. Do not take those out unless you have coolant in your spark plug wells. I've never seen or heard of those 3 leaking though, so I wouldn't worry about them.

Those bolts are under the #3 gasket that runs down the center, and keeps debri out of the sparkplug area.

Solved it, when the engine warmed up it started leaking a bit from that heater hose on the back topside of the engine, new clamp did the trick, thx for the info.

Be glad that those 3 allen head bolts weren't the source of the leak. I tried to get them out before and after I removed my cylinder head and I could not get them loose, someone told me if you do take those out, the threads come out with the allen head bolts.
