So you're saying the only difference between the 2jz-ge and the 2jz-gTe is that one gets worn out differently????

that and among other things because their are also differences between a
US-spec and a J-spec engine

here you can see the differences
http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/specs.htm

so it`s likely that a N/A engine is even more different

and why is it then that around 99% of the high Horsepower Supra`s are GTE engines and no GE engine???

I feel sorry for you, having a rotary, my brother had one, it sucked haha.
but at the same time my girlfriend had an MKIV and that car smoked my brothers RX7. I bought her car off her, installed a T-67 turbo, changed the injectors, ECU, and inter cooled it. I then ran an HKS exhaust system and put strut tower bars on it. and changed only the springs and tires. (note: I did this all myself after alot of research) It handles way way better because the strut tower bars made the body more solid. and the springs helped with suspention. I got about 700bhp on the dyno. and i could top it out around 168 (my engine was screaming, it was a dumb thing to do) and my 0-60 was 3.4 sec. I could pull off a 1/4 mile in 11 sec. but i was just getting into the racing part. total cost was around $8,000 for what i put on it. but the car is very reliable and beautiful in its stock shape. but its still in the mid to upper 200hp range as an N/A
