Well lets start with the basic question... we know this is a NA supra and RHD so its JDM.. ok.. and a auto
whats the compression numbers on this motor? are they within factory spec ? I can not say its going to be less exp to run a NA-T kit on a supra unless it has a good motor to work with... if the motor is shot do the tt swap... with that said a motor off ebay or any of those types and I am one of those types as well.. I get JDM motors but I know to replace every single gasket and seal in the block... that is a very safe and sane thing to do.. you really dont know how long that motor and trans have been out of a car and not ran... it would be alot safer and a great time to look into the motor and replace the gaskets.. this toyo kit for the gaskets can be about $200 depending on where you get it.. so what you have to ask yourself is... does this motor have the stuff to run a NA-T kit??? or should I do a TT swap ?? either way the tt swao would take more time... |
