94 n/a supra questions

was changing my alternator belt 2day and found the bottom pully (crank) seemed to be fully foating:eek3: and i was able to turn the outside of the pully in both directions, i think there is a rubber dampener built into these pulleys but im unsure if it has split and is allowing this to hapen, saying this the belt is still being driven.
Also when accelerating hard there is a knocking noise from the rear such as a worn bush, but when i looked it seems as tho there should be 2 mounts from the subframe to the diff but there is only 1 fited, when looking thru the other hole in the subframe you can see where another bolt should go into the diff, if anyone could help it would be appreciated.
cheers will:help:

Sorry to say this is one of the few common problems with high mileage mkiv Supras. You'll need a new crank pulley/harmonic balancer.

I'd suggest you call Toyota to get the proper bolt for your diff where it's misssing.

A bolt from Toyota won't be more than a few bucks or so. Can you post a pic of the area with the missing bolt?

There's going to be no problem in my case. I am really planning to change my crank pulley since last month. Maybe it's time to purchase one now.
