Default 1.5jz question.

First of all hello.
I got a toyota soarer 1jzgte, and i bought a 2jzge very cheap, and my question is can i put the 2jzge crankshaft, rods and 1jzgte pistons in my 1jzgte block, so i dont loose the squirters???.
Does anyone knows any link with that?.

Thanks alot.

Javier.

1) I don't know for sure, so please double-confirm elsewhere
2) I don't think you can do what you describe - from what I understand, the 1jz-gte is the same bore with a shorter stroke (which is why it's only 2.5L).

To me, you should consider doing it the other way...take your 2jz-ge block to a machinist and ask him to drill holes & tap boltholes for the 1jz-gte oil squirters.

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
