Hks internal wastegate actuator
Ok, pwpanas here's one for you. How much room does a straight rod hks actuator need between the rod and my coolant fitting? Does it move up or down or is it a straight movement?

That said, I've never installed an HKS actuator (alone) on an mkiv. I've only installed complete wastegates that include both the actuator and the valve. Are you working on an Mkiv Supra? If so, why are you installing an actuator? If it helps, please post a picture. P.S. I'm basing my guess of 1" to 1.5" on the distance that the oem mkiv actuators move.
