Do i need my maf?
 

Hey guys, I need some guidance. I have a 1995 Supra TT, and I just bought a HKS Reloaded intake kit. This kit is for a stock supraTT. But this intake doesn't show that the MAF is connected to the intake. I've heard that taking the MAF off, my car won't run right. Anyone has knowledge about this?

Your car won't run right if at all without the maf. The intake kit was most likely made for a JDM supra which uses a map sensor and air intake sensor instead of the maf sensor.

Yeah listen to KWnate, I forgot to connect my maf one time after changing my turbo and my car wouldn't even get past 2,500 rpms without dying out.

Thanks alot for your help guys. I guess I hav to sell this intake now, unless I buy a MAP-ECU and get it tuned....to get rid of the MAF.

You could always trim the pipe on the HKS intake kit so that it flows into the MAF...
