Default Vacumm Pump?

hey on my 2j right under the intake manifold is some sort of vacuum pump, has vacuum lines coming off the front and goes into 2 sensors, is a cylinder looking pump, almost resembles a coil, anybody know what this is or what its for?

Also on the na manifold the vacuum pump thin thats right before the valve cover whats this for also?
