it depends on where you go, if you go to maaco you get a maaco paint job...nothing fancy just a regular paint job, as for the color...im not sure but i think its called jet black i might be wrong....actually i think im wrong, but usually the painter can match the color of the car pretty well...

Not gonna be much, but it all comes down to a few things.

Pre-paint prep work. The better the job is done, the less cleanup, and the harder it will be to tell it's been painted.

Paint layers and work. How many layers of paint? Clear coat?

After paint. Cleanup, polishing, ect..

The painting is the easy part, it's the other parts that get expensive, and are the important parts in reality...

Go to a shop that does it, look at their work, they usually have a few cars that they just finished sitting int he lot, go check em out. Also, listen to the guys about letting it cure, and any tips from them, if they're good, they'll tell you what to do to make the paint last.

I just got my 95 Supra painted. It was about $2000. Nothing special, just a gun-metalish color. But then again I might have gotten a discount because my uncle had his friend do it.

ouch, that's high... but did you change the color of the car? If you want to change the color, it's a LOT more, and a LOT harder since everything has to be stripped off the car to paint it. Original color respray, looking at a couple hundred...
