Just wondering how most of you guys were able to obtain your supra's. I have had trouble with banks not wanting to lend money for a car that is 10 years old. So do most of you pay cash for them or what. Anyone in NE florida Jacksonville area suggest a good credit union.

i paid cash straight up...but i got it at the nj auto auction like 3 years ago....so i got that for like 1200 for a 91 supra turbo with only 77k..well at least thats wut i think it had ont eh clock...which is pretty good, hmmm ive never really had do deal with the bank about loans...so im not really sure how its done

No loan here... and yes, something that old, they'll laugh you out of the bank <_<

I brought both of my Supras cash.If you really really want one and the banks are turning you down, laughing in your face you are going to have to save and save till you have enough money to buy one cash.Either way you wont regret your choice in a Supra.

Newby Question
I paid cash for my '87. You may want to consider a "personal loan" which you do not need to disclose what you are purchasing, therefore YOU get the vehicle title and not the bank. the interest rate will be higher but you'll get what you want and it will legally be yours.

i paid 9k cash for 95 se supra 100k miles, bought it from my friend. very good deal

Well I've thought about the personal loan which I would take out around 15,000. I've got 10k I'm going to put with it. I figure if I shop around for a while from what I've seen you can get a nice TT 6-speed in that range.

Get a personal loan from the bank. Then you can own the car outright and use the title to get a auto loan with a better rate. My personal loan is in the 12% range, but at least I have a supra.
