yea i have a hard time believing that any supra 2jz could ever pull 257 and still be drivable, imagine the turbo lag on that size of a turbo

You'd be surprised. Several have gotten close...for example:

With nitrous, you can get any big turbo to spool by about 3500 rpm, which makes the overall setup perfectly driveable in pretty much any situation imho.

P.S. I don't need to imagine. My turbo is an 88mm...
